+ Zombies scare me but also intrigue me. In the wake of one of the coolest, most badass movies I have ever seen, Zombieland, hitting theatres in a couple days I thought it'd be a really good thing to discuss. Now we all know what a zombie is, hopefully. The living dead. The walking flesh eaters. I'm not talking those creepy overworked students you run into in a Starbucks. I am talking the ones that will wave their arms at you and call out for your delicious fleshy, "braaaaaaiiiiiiiin." They scare me. Just that imagery of being all alone while everyone wants to eat you just doesn't settle with me. And their constant bleeding and moaning only puts the icing on the fear cake. Realistically, "zombies" have been mass marketed and commercialized more and more in the past 5 years then of all time. Do people really enjoy the idea of the dead coming back to get them? Because it's not all that terrifying because it's pretty much 100% improbable. Wouldn't getting murdered by your neighbor turned psychopath be the real money maker? Or do we like that fantasy value in our hip horror movies? Zombie movies used to be original and interesting but as they become more popular they get cheesier and cheesier and cheesier. Don't get me wrong though, I truly enjoy a good zombie movie the much as the next guy but I expect a little bit of enjoyment, storyline, characters and not just buckets of fake blood. This kinda contradicts to what I said previously about wanting to see Zombieland, which is just buckets of blood and mayhem! None the less, society can't get enough zombie. Zombie video games, zombie movies, etc. We truly do eat this shit up. So as we approach the night of terror and horror, Halloween, go out and rent a good classic zombie film, turn on some Rob Zombie, and finish up by playing some Left 4 Dead !!

PS. Who would win in a fight, Edward Cullen or an army of flesh hungry zombies? I didn't think so pretty boy.
