[SHIT#2]+LOL. How many times do you read, or sadly hear someone type, text, or say that to you in a day. Is it time we stop using this little pneumonic? I vote, yes. So, for this week's theme of "Shit Canada Needs" I believe it's time less people continuously say, "LOL." Now, I completely understand that "IM-ing" has become an everyday part of our vocabulary in the 21st century but things like "BRB" or "G2G" aren't used quite as much as the classic - LOL. You hear it so much from texting and talking and I am quite sick of it. For example, look at this conversation below:
Is it so hard to avoid? Does this little typing collaboration infect all social networking we involve ourselves in? The answer is sadly yes. It's almost as if we've completely replaced ending a sentence with a period by instead using, LOL. But it's not too late to change and if your asking yourself, "How will I go on without the LOL's in my life?" It's simple, use a different word or phrase. Look at how much better the previous conversation looks when revised. John: So how was your Thanksgiving. I've listed some for your disposal and I hope that together we all will survive, "LOL Rehab." But we all know how those rehabilitation centers work don't we Ms.Winehouse? LOL ... Oh god. JohnBonBonz-- ps. i want a cell phone, if you don't ALREADY know.
