title : It's CHRISTmas. Not SPOILEDBRATWHODOESNTLIKEWHATHEGETSFORCHRISTmas.
+Christmas. It seems like the time to enjoy the holidays gets bigger and bigger every year and don't get me wrong I love Christmas, I really do but, to be honest, it seems like companies every year just try to suck every penny out of Santa's image. When I say companies, I mean everyone and if you haven't noticed already, they have the holiday tunes blasting through every mall and department store. It's great to enjoy the holidays but when is enjoying just good marketing? Like, I mean everybody likes Starbucks, you can try to say you don't but you, my friend, are lying to yourself, and when they released their holiday cups I stopped and thought about what's happened to Christmas. It's no longer about spirit and stuff, it's about what to buy and who to buy it for and who got what for Christmas. And I know that even I do this, but is it our fault that Christmas has become warped into a commercialized powerhouse? Some people feel the long run-up to the festive season means that Christmas is much less special when it finally arrives. Others feel there is too much commercial pressure to buy presents and an emphasis on consuming lots of food and drink. But many of us enjoy having the special Christmas feeling around for longer and appreciate the extra planning time. Maybe it's time to change that though. Maybe it's time we stop worrying about planning a holiday. Maybe John just wants Christmas to come already. Maybe my rehearsals and school have finally gone to my head. Whatever the reason, I think all that money that goes to making ads about things to buy, those companies should donate that to orphanages and third world countries. I don't mean to preach but it's just something to think about. Try to make it feel more like Christmas this year, and not just about artificial trees, flashy lights, and mall Santa's. On that note, has anyone ever seen one of those mall Santa's out of uniform? Terrifying. Terrifying.

Man, this kid is great : THE KID

Merry Christmas,

ps. I went into Hallmark's today to buy a Christmas card, 6 dollars for paper and ink.
