title : HPPY NW YR!!! LULZ
+Happy (Belated) New Year! I know it's been a while since my last post but I didn't think anyone had time to read a blog over the holidays and I didn't have time to write one either. But, I'm back, I'm excited for this year, and I've got a lot of things to say and my resolution is that maybe one of them you can relate. So, on that note I'll talk about something we all know. Itunes. Our generation has evolved through different technologies of music every year. We've gone from records to cassette tapes to Cd's and then to mp3's. This progression has made music more easily obtained for the good and the bad. You can download that song you heard minutes ago just by the simple click of a button but what the true dilemma of it all is if you pay for it or not. The Internet is jam-packed with two things. Porn and endless amounts of illegal music files. And it's being easier and easier to obtain both by the "simple click of a button." What drives us not to pay for music? Is a dollar a song unreasonable? Or is it just that we want to spend our hard earned cash on better things than pretty sounding files. Now, don't let me get up on a soapbox here, I too have downloaded music from these not so favorable sources but I'm really wondering why. An artist spends hours recording, thousands for the studio, time to write, time to create, and all the other hard work they put in just for that one song. Isn't that worth a buck?

Well, I can't give you the answer. Can anyone really? I think that maybe try to pay for at least some of your music. Spend that buck, support rising musicians. You can't illegally download a ballet so why illegally download other art?

I've missed you guys, glad to be writing again. It's gonna be a great year, I know it.

Love, Mr.2010 ( John Lovett )

ps. Resolutions are silly. Just be happy.
